AID IN SCLERAL LENS INSERTION
Specifically Crafted for Scleral Lens Patients
See-Green®™ Lens Inserters and Stands
- Use the See-Green™ Lens Inserter for insertion only. Do not use it to remove the lens. For removal, use the DMV Ultra Contact Lens Remover.
- Only use preservative-free saline prescribed by your doctor.
- Before using, wash hands thoroughly with soap without moisturizer and water, then dry before handling the plunger and light.
- Always wet the tip of the plunger with preservative-free sterile saline prescribed by your doctor. Do not apply a dry plunger to the lens surface.
- After each use, wash the plunger and remover with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, shake off excess water, and blot dry with a clean paper towel.
- Place your application and remover plunger in the See-Green®™ Vented Storage Vial between uses.
- Do not leave the plunger on the LED bulb between uses. Saline can trap against the LED and plunger, which may shorten the life of your See-Green plunger.
- Weekly, wash plunger stands and the See-Green®™ Vented Storage Vial with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a clean cloth.
- Do not wash the stand, plunger, or vial in a dishwasher.
Caution
The plunger contains natural rubber latex, which may cause allergic reactions.

Choking Hazard: Keep this product away from small children.

- Do not keep the inserter in a bathroom with high moisture content. Store the unit in a dry place.
- Do not leave the unit in a car during freezing or very hot temperatures.
- Carry the unit on board air flights instead of placing it in luggage in the cargo bay.
Use Instructions for See-Green®™ Lens Inserter
To attach the plunger to the light, wet the bottom of the plunger with sterile saline.
While holding the bottom of the plunger, insert the LED bulb into the small hole with a twisting motion.
Only the clear part of the LED bulb should enter the plunger.
For inserting your lens, follow your doctor’s instructions.
Tips for Lens Insertion
-
Hold the lids by the margins where the lashes meet the lids. Keep both lids open,
tuck your chin to your chest, look straight down, and focus on the green light
in the hole of the plunger. Continue approaching your eye smoothly and steadily.
Press the lens onto the eye. -
Capture the lens with the eyelids by releasing the lids. Do not squint.
Maintain upward pressure on the lens. -
Release the lens from the plunger by squeezing completely. Stay squeezed while
retracting the plunger away from the eye.

Plunger Stands
Our stands hold plungers and lenses securely while they are prepared for insertion.
They provide a stable base for your hands and allow you to get your eye close to
the lens before lifting it up to the eye.
The stand on the left is for use with the See-Green®™ Lens Inserter. The slot allows
the wire to enter and move as the plunger is placed on or lifted from the stand.
Some users need both hands to hold their lids open. When using the stand this way,
lower your head smoothly while focusing on the green light until you feel the fluid.
Press your eye downward onto the lens, release the lids, and lift your head.
Helpful Tips
To turn the light on and off:
- Press the rubber-covered button on the side of the box.
- If your fingers are weak, turn the box on its end with the button against the table and press down with your hand.
Changing Batteries
The LED bulb uses very little battery power. You should get over 1,000 hours of use
before needing to change the batteries.
- Unscrew the two screws that hold the cover on the white case.
- Lift off the lid to expose the AAA battery holder.
- Remove and replace the two AAA batteries.
- Place the battery holder back in the case.
- Put the lid in place and screw the two screws back into place.
Tips for Stands
- Set up your lens on the stand before insertion to reduce the chance of saline spilling and bubbles forming.
- If you need both hands to hold your eyelids open and have difficulty bending over, place the stand on an upside-down bowl to elevate it.
LED and Wire Maintenance
Wipe down the black wire, LED bulb, white battery case, and rubber button with a clean damp cloth after each use to remove saline.
The LED light comes with a 2-year replacement policy.
